Rail inspection stores seek staff for night preparation.
More stores workers are needed to prepare approved equipment before the overnight inspection handover.
Duties cover the issue list, location of serviceable equipment and return records. New entrants will work with the stores supervisor until handling has been assessed. Inspection findings and release decisions remain with qualified personnel.
Unfilled preparation posts have required technicians to spend handover time finding equipment. Orderly stockroom practice can be relevant without previous rail employment. The desk will explain the night timetable and provided instruction before an applicant accepts the appointment.
